(Worthy News) – Satellite imagery reviewed by analysts indicates Iran has advanced fortification work at several sensitive military and nuclear-linked sites, including the Parchin military complex and the Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center, according to a Reuters report. The developments come as Washington seeks a negotiated nuclear agreement with Tehran while warning that military options remain on the table if diplomacy fails.
At Parchin, roughly 30 kilometers southeast of Tehran, images show Iran constructing what experts describe as a concrete shield over a newly built facility and covering it with soil. The Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) assessed that the structure—identified as “Taleghan 2”—may house a long cylindrical chamber consistent with a high-explosives containment vessel. Such equipment can have conventional uses but is also considered relevant to nuclear weapons development. Iran has consistently denied seeking atomic arms.
Satellite images from late 2025 into February 2026 show the gradual concealment of the structure, with analysts suggesting the roof was intentionally camouflaged with dirt to obscure its outline. ISIS founder David Albright said the site could soon become an “unrecognizable bunker,” providing enhanced protection from potential airstrikes.
At Isfahan, one of three uranium-enrichment facilities struck by U.S. forces during last year’s conflict, analysts reported that tunnel entrances have been backfilled with soil. According to ISIS, burying the entrances could help mitigate the impact of airstrikes and complicate any ground operation aimed at seizing or destroying highly enriched uranium believed to be stored underground.
Additional imagery points to ongoing fortification efforts near the Natanz Nuclear Facility, including reinforced tunnel entrances at a site known as Pickaxe Mountain. Meanwhile, missile bases near Shiraz and Qom—damaged during prior strikes—appear to be undergoing reconstruction, though some facilities have yet to return to full operational capacity.
The satellite findings emerge alongside reports that Iranian leaders are preparing for the possibility of renewed conflict if nuclear talks collapse.
