Rubio: Iran at “Weakest Point” as U.S. Pushes to Cripple Military Capabilities (Video)

WASHINGTON (Worthy News) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a forceful message during a cabinet meeting this week, declaring that Iran is at its “weakest point” even as its leadership continues aggressive actions across the region.

Rubio drew a sharp distinction between the Iranian people and the ruling regime, describing those in power as “radical Shia clerics” and “religious fanatics.” He warned that recent attacks on embassies and civilian locations highlight the danger posed by Tehran’s leadership—especially if allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

“That is an unacceptable risk for the world,” Rubio said, emphasizing that U.S. military operations are not only about national security but global stability.

The secretary pointed to the objectives outlined by President Donald Trump at the outset of the current campaign, stating that those goals are actively being carried out.

According to Marco Rubio, U.S. forces are systematically dismantling Iran’s military infrastructure through a coordinated campaign targeting its core warfighting capabilities. He explained that operations are focused on destroying Iran’s naval power, neutralizing its missile launch systems, and striking the factories responsible for producing missiles and drones—efforts that, he said, are steadily reducing Tehran’s ability to threaten the region and the world.

“We’re well on our way to achieving that goal,” Rubio said, adding that “every single objective the president clearly laid out… is being effectuated.”

Rubio also framed the conflict in historical terms, noting that Iran has been responsible for attacks against Americans for decades.

“For 47 years, Iran has been killing Americans and attacking Americans across this planet,” he said, criticizing past administrations for failing to take decisive action.

In contrast, Rubio praised Trump’s leadership, saying the president is unwilling to leave such threats unaddressed. “He’s not going to leave a danger like this in place. He’s going to address it.”

The remarks come as U.S. operations against Iranian military assets intensify, with officials signaling continued efforts to degrade Tehran’s ability to project power across the Middle East.
