JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israeli forces eliminated two Hamas terrorists attempting to cross the Gaza ceasefire line on Wednesday — the fourth such violation in as many days along the IDF’s “Yellow Line.”
“In two separate incidents, two terrorists were identified crossing the Yellow Line and advancing toward IDF troops in central Gaza,” the military said. “Following identification, the terrorists were eliminated by IDF troops to remove the threat.”
The “Yellow Line,” created under last month’s U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal, marks areas from which the IDF has withdrawn while retaining control over about half of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier this week, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir proposed freeing 200 trapped Hamas fighters in exchange for the remains of Lt. Hadar Goldin, held by Hamas since 2014. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the idea, vowing not to allow safe passage for armed terrorists.
Meanwhile, Israeli Minister Avi Dichter warned the conflict is far from over. “The war is not ended; it is a ceasefire to prepare ourselves for the next stage,” said the former Shin Bet chief. “The possibility that Hamas will put aside its weapons is the same as Israel winning the World Cup. Without weapons, there is no Hamas.”
Dichter added that disarmament will come “by force,” accusing Hamas of delaying hostage-body returns and taking cues from Hezbollah’s refusal to disarm in Lebanon.
He also voiced skepticism about Syria’s new president and expressed optimism about expanding the Abraham Accords, saying Israel’s deterrence “is stronger today than it was on Oct. 6.”
