American-backed concrete plants will support tunnel destruction and a planned international force headquarters near the Gaza border

(Worthy News) – The United States is preparing to assume responsibility for financing and operating concrete plants used to seal Hamas terror tunnels in the Gaza Strip, according to an Israel Hayom report published Wednesday.
The United States and Israel plan to establish four additional concrete plants along the Gaza border to supply the enormous quantities of material needed to fill underground tunnels and construct a large military base for the proposed International Stabilization Force.
According to the report, Israel’s existing tunnel-sealing operations have faced recurring budget shortages, forcing concrete plants to shut down periodically and disrupting efforts to destroy Hamas’ underground network. Workers at the current facilities have reportedly been informed that they will be transferred to the U.S. administration overseeing the project.
Israeli engineering forces have used high-pressure liquid concrete to seal heavily fortified tunnels that cannot be effectively destroyed with explosives. More than 30,000 cubic meters of concrete were reportedly pumped into the Rafah tunnel where the body of Israeli Lt. Hadar Goldin had been held.
The project will also supply construction materials for a major base near the Re’im military camp. The facility is expected to house joint command centers overseeing Gaza and serve as the headquarters of the International Stabilization Force envisioned under President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.
Israel recently approved a legal framework allowing approximately 200 members of the multinational force, including personnel from Uganda and Morocco, to enter designated areas of Gaza. However, Israeli defense officials have warned that the force could restrict the IDF’s freedom of action while Hamas remains armed.
The IDF said it continues systematically locating and destroying Hamas’ underground infrastructure and that no tunnels crossing from Gaza into Israeli territory are currently known to exist.
