Biden Administration Sanctions Israeli Company Which Makes Parts Of Iron Dome Defense System

by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent

(Worthy News) – The United States last week imposed sanctions on a small Israeli metal company that makes parts for the Iron Dome, an air defense system which has protected civilians from tens of thousands of rockets fired at the Jewish state from Gaza by the Hamas jihadist terror group respectively, First Post reports.

Based in Afula Elite in northern Israel, Finkelstein Metals employs 80 people to produce brass, bronze, and copper alloy products that are essential to defense companies, especially for the production of ammunition for Iron Dome batteries.

The company now finds itself under American sanctions and investigation for allegedly receiving “prohibited government subsidies” to carry out its operations in the Hazait St. Alon Tavor industrial zone in Afula Elite and for allegedly selling products in the US at inflated prices.

The Biden administration’s move against Finkelstein Metal comes as Israel fights Hamas in Gaza following the Oct. 7 genocidal attack on the Jewish state on that group, and, increasingly, against Hezbollah on its northern border with Lebanon. Both Hamas and Hezbollah are backed by Iran’s Islamic jihadist regime, and are unified by a desire to see the destruction of Israel.

“The decision to probe Finkelstein Metals and impose sanctions has left Israeli officials perplexed,” First Post said in its report. “In a peculiar turn of events, similar parties who previously defended Dead Sea factories against excessive export accusations are now pursuing legal action against Finkelstein Metals.”

“The ongoing investigation carries significant implications for trade relations between Israel and the U.S., potentially affecting Israeli exporters, especially in the defense sector,” First Post noted. “If government benefits provided to industrial plants are deemed prohibited subsidies, it could trigger a wave of lawsuits against Israeli exporters to the U.S.”
