(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an urgent evacuation warning Sunday to residents of Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen, hours before multiple airstrikes reportedly targeted Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif.
“Due to the terrorist Houthi regime’s use of seaports for its terrorist activities, we urge all those present at these ports to evacuate and stay away from them for your own safety,” said IDF spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee on X.
Saudi state-owned Al Arabiya reported that an Iranian facility was struck at an unspecified location, while Al Hadath claimed that ten airstrikes targeted the Ras Isa fuel port. The Houthi Interior Ministry also reported strikes on Hodeidah port.
The escalation follows recent Houthi missile and drone attacks against Israel, including a missile that struck Ben Gurion Airport last week. Israeli Defense Minister Katz warned, “We will respond strongly in Yemen and anywhere else necessary.”
Despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire aimed at halting attacks on U.S. maritime targets, the Houthis have continued launching missiles at Israel, firing 29 ballistic missiles and 10 drones since March 18.
