(Worthy News) – Recent reports indicate that an alleged Israeli airstrike targeted Syria’s Dabaa Airport near the Lebanese border, an area known for Hezbollah’s smuggling of Iranian weapons.
According to the Hezbollah-affiliated newspaper Al-Akhbar, two interceptor missiles exploded in the airspace over northern Syria on Friday afternoon.
The report stated that explosions occurred above the towns of Al-Qasr and Mutariba near the Lebanon-Syria border, as interceptors attempted to shoot down Israeli planes that had reportedly launched an airstrike on the airport located just north of the Syrian city of Al Qusayr.
