Iran Launches Missiles Towards Israel

TEHRAN/BEIRUT/JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Israel’s military says Iran has launched missiles towards Israel, apparently in response to major setbacks suffered by Tehran’s proxies.

The announcement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) came hours after the White House saw indications that Iran is preparing to “imminently” launch a ballistic missile attack.

Iran fired rockets in the direction of Israel late Tuesday after Iran-backed Hezbollah confirmed the death of top commander Ali Karaki in an Israeli strike on Beirut amid an ongoing Israeli invasion in Lebanon.

Footage seen by Worthy News showed projectiles being intercepted by Israel above the large city of Tel Aviv late Tuesday.

Israel also said it struck power plants and a port used by Houthis in western Yemen, another ally of Iran that had been firing rockets at the Jewish nation.

It also came less than 48 hours after U.S. military sources said 37 Islamist fighters of the “Islamic State” (IS) group and an al-Qaida group affiliate, Hurras al-Din, died in two Israeli airstrikes in Syria last month.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the strikes occurred on September 16 and September 24, adding that there was “no indication” that any civilians were harmed.

With tensions rising, the White House announced earlier the day that it saw indications that Iran is preparing to “imminently” launch a ballistic missile attack.

As Israel’s invasion was underway, U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met with national security officials at the White House to review the status of U.S. preparations to help Israel defend against attacks, Worthy News learned.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 250 points, spurred by a surge in the cost of crude oil, on fears of heightened tensions in the petroleum-rich Middle East, observers said.
