(Worthy News) – Continuing a campaign of terror against Israel that it began in solidarity with Hamas’ attack against the Jewish state, the Lebanese Hezbollah terror organization launched 50 rockets at the Golan Heights on Wednesday morning, with several missiles hitting homes, All Israel News (AIN) reports.
Wednesday’s barrage of rockets were understood to be in retaliation for the Israel Defense Forces bombing Hezbollah arms depots deep inside Lebanaon, AIN reports. “In addition, a compound that was used by the air defense system of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the Bekaa area and posed a threat to Air Force aircraft was attacked,” the IDF said in a statement.
The northern Israeli town of Katzrin was particularly affected by Hezbollah’s rockets with between three and five rockets crashing into homes on Wednesday, AIN reports. One man was wounded when shrapnel hit his home, and another resident was treated for shock.
“At one of the scenes we saw thick smoke from a private house that was on fire,” Oren Avitan, a paramedic with the Magen David Adom emergency rescue services said in a statement. “This is a great miracle that happened here, with such great damage, the event could have ended completely differently.”
Ativan’s Arab-Israeli colleague Mohammad Hosni added: “A man came out of the house fully conscious, he walked on his feet suffering from shrapnel wounds, apparently from glass and the impact of the shockwave.”
