Israel Extends Ability to Call Up 400,000 Reservists, Halts All Aid to Gaza

by Emmitt Barry, Worthy News Correspondent

(Worthy News) – As the ceasefire teeters on the verge of collapse, the Israeli government is poised to approve the extension of legislation allowing the mobilization of 400,000 reservists. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister has ordered the halt of all aid and supplies to the Gaza Strip, signaling the region’s impending descent into war.

The Prime Minister’s Office announced, ‘With the end of Phase 1 of the hostage deal, and in light of Hamas’s refusal to accept the [US special envoy Steve] Witkoff outline for continuing talks – to which Israel agreed – Prime Minister Netanyahu has decided that, as of this morning, all entry of goods and supplies into the Gaza Strip will cease.’”

The statement from Netanyahu’s office further emphasized, “Israel will not allow a ceasefire without the release of our hostages,” threatening “further consequences” if Hamas continues to reject the proposal.

Meanwhile, Israel’s government is scheduled to approve this Sunday the activation of an additional 400,000 reservists for duty extending through May 29, 2025. The copy of the proposal explicitly states that 2025 will be designated as a “year of war.”

According to the Witkoff proposal, during an extended ceasefire, half of the hostages, including those alive and deceased, would be released on the first day. The rest would be freed once a permanent ceasefire is established.

Israel reports that terror groups in Gaza are holding 59 hostages, with at least 35 confirmed deceased by the Israel Defense Forces.
