Calls Mounting For Biden To Step Aside (Worthy News In-depth)

WASHINGTON (Worthy News) – Calls for the frail 81-year-old U.S. President Joe Biden to step aside ahead of presidential elections increased Tuesday after bombshell revelations that the renowned Parkinson’s disease expert visited the White House several times this year and his weak public performances.

Representative Mikie Sherrill became the seventh U.S. House Democrat to call on Biden publicly to drop out of the race, saying, “The stakes are too high – and the threat is too real – to stay silent.”

Biden’s disastrous June 27 debate performance against rival Republican Donald J. Trump and low public approval already raised fresh doubts among Democrats about his ability to win the November 5 race to the White House.

Yet revelations that Dr. Kevin Cannard of Walter Reed Medical Center, renowned Parkinson’s expert, regularly visited the White House added to concerns.

His meetings included several with President Biden’s personal doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, according to visitor logs and sources familiar with the situation.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has refused to confirm Dr. Cannard’s visits, citing privacy concerns.

Additionally, Worthy News partner The Center Square outlet reported that U.S. Special Counsel Robert Hur’s final report into Biden’s “mishandling of classified documents” after he left the White House as vice president under Barack Obama raised concerns about his cognitive capabilities.

MEMORY LOSS

Hur declined to charge Biden, but his report highlighted Biden’s trouble remembering things, including the year his son died.

“In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden’s memory was worse,” according to the report. “He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (‘if it was 2013 – when did I stop being Vice President?’), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (‘in 2009, am I still Vice President?’).”

He also “did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him,” the report added, raising concerns about the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

The revelations have added to divisions among Democrats in the U.S. Congress over whether to fall in line behind President Biden’s wounded reelection campaign effort or urge him to step aside because of persistent questions about his health and understanding.

The party’s leaders in the U.S. Senate and House, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, said little on Tuesday about hours of closed-door talks among Democratic lawmakers.

Experts said that, in any event, they lack the authority to push Biden aside even if they agreed on a course of action.

Republicans supporting Trump, who seeks re-election after Biden defeated him in 2020, claimed the world’s last remaining superpower was in danger under the struggling commander-in-chief.

‘BIGGEST COVERUP’

U.S. House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik joined several colleagues to highlight “how far-left Democrats and the mainstream media are in complete disarray because they have been caught participating in one of the greatest coverups in American history.”

Stefanik warned that “House Republicans are safeguarding American elections by ensuring only American citizens can vote in American elections by bringing the SAVE Act to the House Floor.”

She stressed, “There is no longer any doubt that Joe Biden is unfit to be our commander-in-chief.”

In comments obtained by Worthy News, Stefanik added that the “Biden White House, Far Left House Democrats, and the mainstream media are in complete disarray because they know this to be true and have been caught participating in one of the greatest media coverups in American history.”

For the last three and half years, she said, “House Republicans and the American people have been demanding details about Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline. But every time we raised these legitimate concerns, far-left Democrats and their loyal stenographers in the mainstream media rushed to Biden’s defense, claiming that the clearly diminished Joe Biden was as sharp as ever and accusing us of peddling conspiracy theories. The coverup is over, and accountability is here.”

Stefanik claimed that “for years,” House Republicans have known that Joe Biden is “unfit” for office.

“We also know that he will go to any lengths to maintain his grip on power. This is why it is so crucial that we take every possible measure to ensure that the 2024 presidential election is free from election interference and is constitutional,” she said, explaining the reasons behind the new proposed election legislation.

FIRST LADY

She warned that House Republicans are also “blocking Joe Biden’s radical efforts to roll back women’s rights by changing Title IX to allow biological males in women’s spaces” before he leaves office.

With Biden facing growing pressure to step aside in the race and perhaps even leave office before his term is over, commentators have also questioned the attitude of First Lady Jill Biden.

The 73-year-old is believed to have significant influence over the decisions of her elderly husband and has encouraged him not to step down, several sources say.

Yet while Biden suffers in the polls, doubts remain whether his Vice President Kamala Harris could lead the race to the White House against Donald J. Trump, who is 78 and overweight but seems energetic and determined to, in his words, “Make America Great Again.”

Biden’s moves, or lack thereof, were due to be even more scrutinized as he hosts this week’s summit of the NATO military alliance.
